Reaching today’s youth with the gospel requires dedicated, capable leadership. The Youth Ministry minor prepares you for effective ministry by educating you in the theological, relational, and programming foundations of youth ministry. You will also learn the skills that are used in youth ministry. The minor culminates with an internship in a church or parachurch ministry.

A few of the courses in the Youth Ministry minor include “Youth Cultures and Christian Faith,” “Leadership in Ministry,” and “Theology and the Practice of Youth Ministry.” To receive the Youth Ministry minor, you are required to take a minimum of 32 credits, including 15 upper-division credits.

Undergraduate students in the School of Theology have worked in churches, parachurch organizations, ministries, and nonprofit organizations.
