Support the SPU Library
There are many ways to make a gift in support of the Seattle Pacific University Library, and each of them helps underwrite the work of our students and faculty.
Giving Priorities
Friends of the Library Endowment: The Friends of the Library Endowment was established in 2008 to provide permanent and additional funding for library resources which enhance teaching, learning, and scholarship at Seattle Pacific.
Florence Corson Endowment for the Wesleyan Collection: In keeping with the heritage and identity of Seattle Pacific University, the Library is both known for and committed to the ongoing development of its strong Wesleyan collections. Funds from this endowment, established in 1991, are used for the acquisition of resources in Wesley studies and the rise, history, and theology of the Methodist, Free Methodist, Wesleyan Holiness, and related traditions, movements, and areas of study.
Pete and Shirley Hammond InterVarsity Marketplace Collection Endowment for Work and Faith: The Work and Faith Collection is a distinctive and growing special research collection. The core of it was originally owned by Pete Hammond, former vice-president-at-large for InterVarsity, and donated to Seattle Pacific in 2008. Funds from this endowment enhance the acquisition of resources in a variety of formats which explore the intersection of Christian faith and work; Christian ethics; theology of work; faith, economics, and business; and faith and the professions.
Library Gifts Fund: Gifts to this fund provide immediate accessibility to acquire and/or enhance current resources, equipment, or essential programming needs.
Donation of Books: We appreciate book donations that directly support the teaching, learning, and research mission of the University. Please see our Collection Development Policy for more information. If your potential gift is in a specific subject area, contact the subject specialist for that area. For all other gifts, please contact Natalee Vick at 206-281-2735 or nvick@mxy163.com. If you would like to strengthen the library's collection, please consider contributing to one of the above endowments.
Donation to the Archives: Do you have memorabilia, photographs, or campus clothing from your time at Seattle Pacific? Please contact us at 206-281-2422 or archives@mxy163.com with questions about donating to the university archives.
